Today I will be guiding you the process of downloading and using Naver map app, a must-download navigation application when getting around in Korea.
Naver map is a popular navigation app along with Kakao map in South Korea that offers various features such as real-time traffic information, public transportation routes, and street view.
If you are planning to visit or live in Korea, you might want to download naver map in advance to help you get around.
Here are the steps to download and use naver map on your smartphone.
1. Go to the App store or Google Play store and search for naver map. You can click on the link below to download the app directly from each app store.

2. Install the app and open it. You will see a map of Korea with your current location marked by a blue dot.
3. To search for a destination, tap on the magnifying glass icon on the top right corner and enter the name or address of the place you want to go.
4. To get directions, tap on the car, bus, subway, bike, or walk icons on the bottom of the screen and choose your preferred mode of transportation. You will see the estimated time, distance, and cost of your trip. You can also view alternative routes by swiping left or right on the screen.
5. To start navigation, tap on the blue button on the bottom right corner and follow the voice guidance and arrows on the map. You can also zoom in or out by pinching the screen or switch to 3D or satellite view by tapping on the map icon on the top left corner.
6. To access more features, tap on the menu icon on the top left corner and explore the options such as nearby places, favorites, coupons, themes, and settings. You can also change the language of the app by tapping on the gear icon and selecting your preferred language. Naver map offers 4 languages(Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese).
Additional Tips:
- Naver map requires an internet connection to work, so make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection before using it.
- Naver map also offers offline maps for some regions in Korea, which you can download in advance and use without internet access. To download offline maps, go to settings > offline maps and choose the region you want to download.
